The Society for the Advancement of the Rural People of India (SARPI) is a non-profit organization (Reg. NF-4983-Bom) and an NGO. It was established in 1978 and it is managed by the Teresian Association.
SARPI was established with a vision to initiate the promotion and empowerment of women in the rural areas, and especially the development of small villages around Honavar Taluka.
MISSION : To promote Human Development and social transformation through education and enhancement of culture.
VISION : SARPI envisions formed people assuming alead role in the development of families, comunities and societies and
self-sustaining and vibrant social groups marked by complementariness, collaboration and respect to human dignity and religious beliefs.
GOAL : To provide holistic education that will capacitate individuals to become active agents of social development.
